Lord, let the glorious gift of a new year with days unspotted refresh our spirits during this week. May no fear of things unseen nor dead of the future mar the joy of the beginning of our journey. Give us the confidence that the same God who was with the Psalmist all the days of his life will surely be with His children all the days of the year. In this confidence and with a renewed consecration, may we set forth, courageously and unafraid, to do the will of God as He reveals it to us day by day. For Jesus' sake. Amen.
